Will Pirkis Architects is a design led practice based in London. We value our clients’ experience and direction to make buildings that enable operations. We work closely with clients and existing places to make architecture that is facilitating and memorable.
We work at different scales including buildings for arts, offices, housing, private houses and retail. We have a network of leading consultants, contractors and fabricators, allowing us to bring together skilled teams that are right for each project.
We have extensive experience transforming existing buildings, editing and reframing to benefit from what is already there. Our interest is in how a building can be used well, the organisation and quality of its spaces, and pleasure in use.
Before establishing the practice Will worked for eleven years at Stirling Prize winning architects Caruso St John. He led the design and construction of critically acclaimed projects for Gagosian, Canterbury Cathedral, Kvadrat, artist collaborations with Thomas Demand, Marcus Taylor and Rachel Whiteread, and projects with developers in London, Munich and Eindhoven. Will is an ARB registered architect and has taught architecture at Nottingham, Kingston, Northumbria and London Metropolitan universities.
